Motivation
Some people talking about walking as exercise, but they just cannot motivate themselves to do it regularly. One of the main excuses people use regarding why they don't walk as exercise is lack of time. There are several ways to motive yourself to walk as exercise even if you have a busy schedule including:
- taking stairs instead of elevators
- walking up and down each isle at the grocery store
- walking to places near instead of driving
Doing this is one way to motivate yourself towards any fitness goals you may make without taking too much of your time.
Perhaps time is not the issue, and you just cannot find the motivation to begin your walking as exercise program. There are ways to motivate yourself into getting up off the sofa and walking towards better health. Music is one way to motivate yourself to walk as exercise.
Investing in a headset, and a few of your favorite CD's, you can listen to music while you walk. Just walking around your neighborhood or through a park is a step in the right direction. Listening to your favorite music not only helps motivate you to walk, but it also tends to make the time go by so much quicker.
