Don't Forget You Are Still Breathing Air
|
During a workout, some people are so intent on what they are doing that they forget that they are breathing air. Oxygen is one of the most important aspects of our bodies, and as we increase our pulse with a workout, pumping blood faster throughout our bodies, our need for oxygen increases. |
Breathing air into your lungs as fast as possible won't do any better for your workout than not breathing enough will. It is important that you control how you are breathing air during a work out to get the most out of your time.
Breathing air in and out in controlled and easy manner will increase your fitness level. As our muscles warm up and our pulse rises, we need to introduce more oxygen into our blood streams for our muscles to burn. By not breathing air in enough to satisfy the needs of our working muscles and brains, our bodies and muscles tire out much quicker. By breathing air in at the appropriate rate, you will increase your stamina and your fitness level, as well as make your muscles much healthier, and happier, before, during and after your workout.
Regardless of whether you are swimming, pumping weights or doing yoga, your body requires you to remain breathing air. Just by simply remembering that you are, indeed, required to still be breathing air into your body consciously, you will work more at a pace that is suited to your fitness level. Remember how important breathing air is next time you go to work out-your muscles will thank you for it. |
