These fungal infections are very common among athletes who may have their feet exposed to warmth and moisture over long period. Athlete's foot is a form of fungal infection to the feet, causing itching and thickening to the skin

Athlete's Foot - Prevention Is Better
The strategy is to keep your feet as dry as possible. Dry between your toes, with a towel or even a hair dryer. After an exercise or sweating, change your socks. Go barefooted when you can. Apply talcum powder between the toes if you want to assure a dry, moisture free environment.
Treat Your Shoes
To combat athlete's foot, treat your shoes. Wash it, pull the shoe's tongue and dry it during a sunny day. The sun will eliminate odors and kill the fungus. Switch your shoes every other day.
Change Your Socks
If you are using a cotton socks, try acrylic. See which one keeps your feet drier.
Wash Your Foot
Wash your foot daily, several times a day. You can wash your foot with dilute or straight vinegar 3-4 times daily. Tea tree oil is also very effective as a powerful anti fungal.
Help Yourself
Some people have reduced resistance to fungal. It may be because of the high diet of sugar or very low proteins. So, eat healthy food and drink fresh juices.
Use Garlic
If you do not mind the odor, garlic can be used to treat this problem because of its anti-fungal property. Royal jelly is also a great way to prevent the disease.
