Natural Remedies for Acne
Acne is a common complaint among teenagers. The many hormonal alterations during this age increase the incidence of acne. Teenagers with oily skin aged between 12 and 17 years are the most affected. Acne affects not only the face but also the neck, chest and shoulders. Thankfully, many natural remedies for acne are very effective.
Home Remedies
- Bad food habits aggravate the condition. Soft drinks, chocolates, other high-sugar foods and alcohol are well known triggers. They also lead to weight gain. Thus, the first step to acne-free skin involves improving one's dietary habits.
- Once you have improved your food habits, aim to cleanse your body by drinking a lot of water, at least three liters a day. Water helps flush out toxins from the system, thereby preventing acne.
- Orange peel is very effective in combating acne. Combine the peel with a little water and apply on the affected areas for relief and relaxation.
- Aloe vera is another effective substance. Use aloe vera twice a day to remove acne marks.
- Cucumber paste also works wonders. Apply cucumber paste on the affected area to remove acne marks and rejuvenate your skin.
- Consume fresh fruits that contain Vitamin A.
If your acne does not appear to clear up soon, consult your doctor for expert advice.
