We all have this kind of bumps at some point in our life. The interesting thing about warts is the fact that it is symptomless and is still considered a medical mystery. The medical community still hasn't figured out how it occurs and how it disappears.

The three types of warts that we normally see are common, venereal and planter. Common warts are ones that appear on hands and fingers while plantar warts are one that occurs on the soles of our feet. If you detected warts somewhere around the area of your private parts, we suggest that you see your doctor. Those may not be everyday warts but could be a contagious genital disease.

If not, read on, you may find some home remedies for warts here.

Check Your Diet

Deficiency in vitamin A, C and Zinc has all been related to an increase of viral infection (warts are caused by human papilloma virus? HPV). These weaken the body's ability to fight off everyday viruses like HPV. You could have noticed that warts often occur in puberty and teen years. Why? It's because this is generally the time when nutritional deficiencies are common.

So, the first thing is that you should do is to recheck your diet. Get more fresh fruits and vegetables. Taking vitamin A, C and Zinc supplements is not such a bad idea.

Try Castor Oil

Use castor oil for warts on your face and back of hands. Apply it 3 times during the day and once at night. Cover the area with band-aid. Be patient. It may take more than a month before you could see any differences.

Vitamin C on Skin

The vitality of vitamin C is well known in the medical community. If you get warts, you could also use vitamin C to combat the problem. Instead of swallowing it, you should apply a paste made of vitamin C tablets and water on those warts. After that cover the area with band-aid.

Keep Away From Moisture

No one likes to live in dark, moist and damp places. But most viruses or microorganism do. In fact, they thrive in such places. Because it is caused by HPV viruses, plantar warts tend to grow stronger in such an environment. That is the reason why people who are exercise extensively often get this type of warts. When you exercise with wet, dirty socks, your chances of getting warts and other foot problem increases.

If you are active in sports, you just need to be a little more hygienic. Use dry socks and make an effort to change it when it gets wet. To keep your feet dry use foot powder before putting on your socks.

Hypnosis

One of the most effective ways to get rid of wart is by the power of suggestion. When it comes to warts, clinical studies have shown the effectiveness of hypnotism, especially on children Doctors have used this technique effectively by rubbing chalk on a child's wart and telling the child that it would disappear. Researchers believe that the power of suggestion actually enhances the activity of body's T-Cell which in turn will combat the virus causing warts.

Other Tips

Garlic would also help you with warts. Apply a thin section over warts. Just make sure you avoid the healthy tissues. Onion and salt compress have also been claimed to be helpful.
