Treating Premature Ejaculation Through Home Remedies
Premature ejaculation (PE) refers to a medical condition wherein a man ejaculates too quickly in over 50 percent of sexual activities. The condition is also called premature climax or rapid ejaculation. Although most men experience it at least once in their lives, others experience it more often.
Premature ejaculation is a frustrating and embarrassing problem. Fortunately, there are many medicines to treat it. Unfortunately, these medications have side effects. Some don't even work for most men. This is why many men are now turning to home remedies and alternative remedies for premature ejaculation. If you are suffering from PE and would like to treat it without using prescription drugs, here are a few options.
Home Remedies
- First, try massaging your penis. Mix an ounce of sesame oil with several drops of mustard oil. The diluted mustard oil heats the area, thereby dilating blood vessels in the penis, improving blood circulation. The improved blood circulation helps maintain an erection longer. Perform the massage an hour before intercourse and make sure to wash off the oil thoroughly after the massage. You could also replace mustard oil and sesame oil with castor oil. This tones the sphincter muscles, thereby delaying ejaculation.
- Look for medicated ghee used in Ayurvedic medicine. Brahmi ghee, ashwagandha ghee and shatavari ghee are good options. Use these to massage the glans penis and pubic bone before intercourse.
- Some yoga postures treat premature ejaculation. Yoga asanas like the fish, bow, elevated lotus, camel and vajrasana poses help maintain control over the muscles used in ejaculation.
- Almond milk is a great home remedy for PE. Soak 10 almonds in water and leave overnight. The next morning, remove the skin and blend the almonds in a blender. Add a hot cup of cow's milk, some ginger, saffron and cardamom to the blended almonds. Drink this every morning and evening. The combination of almonds, milk, and spices has been shown to delay ejaculation.
- During intercourse, ask your partner to help by applying pressure on the perineal area -- the spot between the anus and the scrotum. Applying pressure on the perineum helps delay ejaculation. This is because the perineum is connected to the prostate gland, which is responsible for releasing ejaculation fluid.
