Spiritual Healing

Spiritual healing describes the process of healings one's body, mind and soul. It is widely believed that having a balanced mind, body and soul helps us to feel confident and also increases our physical health, by boosting the immune system.

Emotional Freedom Techniques

The emotional freedom technique is a form of acupressure, whereby you tap on certain areas of your body whilst thinking of a positive event in your life. Regularly practicing this will allow you, overtime, to feel positive as soon as you tap on these specific areas.

Veritable Energy Medicine

This type of spiritual healing involves being healed through magnetism and light therapy. Many spiritual healers are able to tap into magnetic fields and radiate these through to the bodies of those who are being healed. Practically, you are also able to wear magnetic bracelets, for example, that have risen in popularity in recent years.

Putative Energy Fields

This type of spiritual healing involves the healer using their hands to redirect the energy in their patients. A very well known method of spiritual healing through putative energy fields is Reiki, where touching, blowing, light tapping and looking is used.

Color Therapy

When using color therapy, the aura of a patient is first examined to determine which areas require spiritual healing. This is also achieved by looking at the different chakras in a person's body. Once this has been determined, specific colors are used to treat the patient.

Red is used for vitality and energy. It helps to loosen up a body that is plagued with stiffness, such as back or neck problems. Red will increase the body temperature and give the patient increased energy. Red taps into the root chakra.

Orange is said to relieve oppressions and increases wisdom. Orange is generally used to treat both the body and the mind, by allowing the mind to have a greater understanding of what is happening with the body. Orange is also related to sexual expression. It taps into the sacral chakra.

Yellow focuses on nerves and on the mind. It is often used for those who experience high levels of mental stress and are experiencing symptoms of burn-out. Yellow is also used to treat the digestive system, as well as being a powerful tool for healing the skin. Yellow is related to the solar plexus.

Green is the color of healing. As green is in the middle of the color spectrum, it heals both the body and the mind and has been used for its healing qualities in many ancient civilizations such as the Chinese and the Egyptians. Due to green being such a balanced color, it neither increases nor decreases energy, rather it allows us to feel balanced. Green is also used to treat issues around the heart and blood pressure and is associated with the heart chakra, linking into universal love.

Blue is the color of physical healing and will decrease bleeding, fevers and heal sore throats. Blue, however, is a color to use in moderation, as too much blue can lead to depression, which is where the expression "feeling blue" originates from. Blue is also the color that aids in healing issues related to communication, speech and the throat as it is related to the throat chakra.

Indigo frees and purifies us, and is used mainly for issues relating to the eyes and ears. Indigo is also known as the Ray of Spirit and is hence used for blockages in mediums. It is related to the brow chakra or third eye.

Violet is the color that should only be used for problems that are spiritually related, as it is the color of divine knowledge.

White is the color that should be meditated upon, it protects us and is classed as the divine light.

As you can see, there are many forms of spiritual healing, but most of these focus on colors and touch to help us rebalance the mind, body and soul.
