Aromatherapy Massage -- 5 Tips for the Best Massage Effect

You have generously decided to give your partner an aromatherapy massage. Consider the following before commencing the massage session.

Eat Early

Getting an aromatherapy massage on a full stomach is uncomfortable, especially when you have to lie on your stomach. Make sure at least an hour has elapsed before starting a massage.

A Warm Shower Will Help

This is a great way to set the mood. It promotes relaxation and opens up the pores on your body. This makes it easy for the body to absorb the essential oils.

Wash Hands

An aromatherapy massage will not be satisfactory if the masseur's hands are dirty. Make sure you wash your hands before giving a massage. Keep those fingernails clipped as well; you don't want to hurt your partner. Warm your hands before starting the massage.

Be Ready

Play some soothing or romantic music, and set the air-conditioner such that the room is not too cold. Disconnect your phone, turn off the mobile and light up some candles. In other words, be prepared because this aromatherapy massage could lead elsewhere.

Be Yourself

The massage should be fun and intimate. Your partner knows that you are not a pro, so just relax and do not try too hard to give your partner the perfect aromatherapy massage. Dab a little mixing oil on your fingertips, and use a simple and gentle stroking movement. Always push the blood towards the heart. If massaging the back, avoid the spine. Gently roll the skin between your thumbs and fingers, much like kneading dough.
