Are Natural Vitamins Better Than Their Synthetic Counterparts?Major vitamin manufacturers have spotted the business potential here and are now promoting natural vitamins. Manufacturers claim that natural vitamins are healthier because they come from natural sources, as opposed to synthetic vitamins that are created through chemical processes. Interestingly, the same vitamin manufacturers carry both natural and synthetic vitamins. Yet, they claim that natural vitamins are more effective and that the body absorbs them better. Perhaps that is why natural vitamins are costlier than their synthetic counterparts are? The truth is that most supplements, natural or otherwise, are put through chemical processes. The so-called "natural" products are simply synthetic vitamins that contain small quantities of plant extracts as additives. The label might say something like, "Vitamin C from rose hips". Even the most natural vitamins undergo refining, processing and the inclusion of additives. By the end of it, there is no chemical difference between synthetic and natural vitamins. Our body also does not differentiate between the two. Specifically speaking, there is no reason to pay extra for natural vitamins. Synthetic vitamins are cheaper and offer the same advantages. Price does not determine effectiveness. Rather than study the price, examine the list of additives to ensure that there are no potential allergens. You may have to pay a little extra for vitamins that contain fewer filler compounds. Also Read:
